PAX Celebrates PRIDE with $50,000 Pledge

PAX, a leading brand in cannabis, announced a pledge of nearly $50,000 to the GLBT Historical Society in celebration of this year’s PRIDE events. The pledge from PAX and its brand partners, along with proceeds from special-edition products, will directly benefit the society in support of their cause in building the country’s first full-scale LGBTQ history museum in San Francisco.

To showcase the invaluable work of the LGBTQ community, a portion of the pledge funds will support the creation of an exhibit highlighting the work of LGBTQ activist Dennis Peron who co-authored the country's first medical legalization initiative in 1996 and launched the campaign for medicinal use based on his work with AIDS patients. The exhibit will honor Peron’s legacy and years of activism for LGBTQ rights.

In addition, PAX will initiate several activations around California’s 2019 PRIDE events, including the launch of special edition products and PRIDE merchandise, regional events and partnerships, participation in local marches, and the release of a new campaign, ‘Be a Force for Good’ to celebrate the importance of community.

‘Be a Force for Good’ Initiative

In celebration of this year’s PRIDE events in San Francisco and Los Angeles, PAX will be promoting the theme, ‘Be a Force for Good,’ emphasizing the importance of shared experiences in creating a strong community. PAX has partnered with LGBTQ activist Juanita MORE! and established  Jenny Lewis to share what it means to live by this theme, how they embody being a force for good, and why it’s important to the larger community. They’ll share their stories during the San Francisco PRIDE and PAX-hosted events, as well as through film vignettes shared on PAX’s social channels.

On Sunday, June 30, 2019, PAX will participate in San Francisco's 2019 Pride march both on the ground and through a bus activation with Jenny Lewis which will drive the route of the march from the Golden Gate Bridge to Downtown San Francisco. The night before, on Saturday, June 29, 2019, PAX will host a product-focused event at Apothecarium in the Castro featuring photo opportunities with Juanita More!, in addition to providing public access to PRIDE-themed merchandise and device engraving opportunities.

On June 8 and 9, 2019, PAX will be participating in the Los Angeles PRIDE march. The brand will have a booth on-site where they will feature their devices and provide PRIDE-themed swag for attendees.

Partnership with Harvest on Geary

For the month of June, Harvest on Geary will feature a PAX's installation that will include an on-site laser engraver where consumers can get their Era devices custom engraved. In addition, Harvest will feature the extracts of producers who manufacture for the PAX Era platform, enabling sampling onsite.

Through their donation to the GLBT Historical Society and involvement in PRIDE activities, PAX hopes to continue giving back to the LGBTQ movement in ways that celebrate the openness, acceptance, and progressive attitude that those in the community embody.
